People don't realize this but Bobby and Bobo in Iran actually started out as SpongeBob in Iran (not related to the CGI SpongeBob in Tehran film released in 2017), It was planned to release in 2017 (as a trailer with this original version was posted a few times), but was reworked to be Bobby and Bobo in Iran in 2018, The character designs, names and dialogue was reworked to not resemble the actual designs and given different names, SpongeBob named Bobby and Patrick became Bobo, possibly an attempt to not get sued by Viacom, as this film is not affiliated with them The original SpongeBob in Iran version was unreleased for a while, Until some Persian channel happened to uploaded it? And thank god the upload has English subtitles. Another hint that this version is the original is that the Bobby & Bobo version would briefly change back to the actual designs in a few shots, and a few obvious audio cuts (as a result of them removing anything that had SpongeBob and Patrick's names).
