Mariscal. La alegría de vivir

·1h 15m

Javier Mariscal’s life and work offer a portrait of an entire era: from Franco’s Spain and the transition to democracy to underground comics, the design boom, the digital revolution and economic crisis. Above all, it is the story of a man who conquered the world and lost everything to find himself again. We explore his most iconic works, from his earliest drawings to celebrated collaborations with Nazario, Almodóvar, Barceló and Trueba. We discover his unique lifestyle, personal philosophy and unfiltered thoughts. After more than 50 years in the business, Mariscal still speaks his mind. With nothing to lose, having gone broke several times, he has plenty to say. Through the voices of his siblings, children, former partners, friends and colleagues, we uncover his most intimate, eccentric, wild, adventurous and free-spirited side.
